Graphy Pants

As our devoted readers may have noticed in Installment One of our 2010 Louie graphs, J-Dig looked like clam chowda against professional opponents. Don't be deceived!

It's not our fault we're still youthful - our numbers will climb when time has passed. In the meantime, our egos are elevated by looking at percentages. As you'll see below, J-Dig takes down the two teams with the highest winning percentages in baseball and basketball history. Bring on the champagne!

A Graphic Return!

And so begins a new tradition...

Many of our devoted readers will recall the superbly designed/informative graphs from our big Louie victory last year. Well, the graphs are back...but this time we've pulled back the lens to look at J-Dig's accumulated accolades in relation to sports achievement.

Installment one sees J-Dig pitted against two dynasties in MLB and the NBA. We are very much the underdog, and it shows.

(We regret to inform the reader that the J-Dig logo was actually injured trying to execute the splits to fit in the itsy-bitsy space above. Talk about a team player! Prognosis: 1-2 weeks. Heavy ice. Low steam.)

10,000?

This has nuthin to do with nuthin - except for trying to sniff out an over-exaggeration.

10,000 lakes? Really? Sounds like a load of Minnesota honky.

Well, a cursory search yields a result that is actually in abundance of the outlandish claim. Supposedly, there are 11,842 lakes (10+ acres) in Minnesota. The repercussions of this is amazing. That means that you could hit a different lake every day for the next 32 years and three months...get your sunscreen and galoshes - we're going to Minnesota!

For the record, we don't buy it.

Medium: Acrylic on Plain White Paper

Here at J-Dig, we know that October is nowhere near, but we thought you'd freak out when you saw this well-established icon from a new point of view. Most people think Jack-O-Lanterns are scary...but not when you see there fragile underbelly.
[For the record, October just passed for our Southern Hemis'ed fans, so this post is more appropriate than it may seem. There are two halves of the globe, time to stop neglecting the nether regions.]
